A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Strategy

As 2024 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on an extraordinary journey of managing and scaling multiple ventures. This year has been a whirlwind of challenges, opportunities, and lessons, and I’m excited to share some insights and strategies that fueled success across my five businesses:

✅ Fractional Digital: Problem-Solving at Its Best

With over 25 years of experience, Fractional Digital is all about crafting robust digital strategies that solve problems businesses struggle to see or articulate. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is stepping into a business, quickly assessing its needs, and providing actionable recommendations that deliver immediate impact.

✅ MarTech Circle: A Thriving Community of Experts

This year, MarTech Circle has grown into a vibrant hub where marketing technology subject matter experts come together to connect and collaborate. The power of shared knowledge and collective growth has been inspiring.

✅ Atomic Elevator: Simplifying Strategy with AI

Atomic Elevator has been an exciting partnership focused on developing an AI-powered tool for marketers and businesses. Ella, our flagship product, simplifies strategy development for Fractional executives, solopreneurs, and businesses of all sizes. Witnessing this tool empower users and enhance processes has reinforced our vision and validated our mission as a platform.

✅ FRAK Conference: Fostering Community Connections

As one of the founders of the FRAK Conference, I’ve poured energy into building strong and vibrant relationships within this burgeoning fractional community. The event has become a cornerstone for collaboration and innovation, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved.

Productivity & Leadership Tips from 2024

Reflecting on what has kept me focused and effective this year, here are some key strategies:

1. Learn and Leverage the Right Tools

Tools such as Basecamp have been transformative. Its intuitive simplicity and structured approach have made team collaboration seamless, ensuring alignment and productivity. By breaking down projects and consolidating multiple ventures into a single, cohesive workspace, Basecamp has streamlined management across my businesses, enabling efficient task delegation and deadline tracking. 

2. Delegate and Outsource

This year, I brought on administrative support, freeing up my time to focus on strategic priorities. Outsourcing busywork has been worth every penny—its value cannot be overstated. Automating processes has paved the way for new ventures, a more balanced schedule, and greater efficiency. 

3. Maximize AI Effectiveness

Using AI tools for precision, consistency, and impactful strategies has been pivotal. AI is only as good as the inputs you provide, so refining processes is key. My go-to tools this year have been ChatGPT, Claude.AI, Reclaim.AI, Fathom, and Atomic Elevator’s Ella. You can read more about these tools and how I use them in upcoming blogs. 

4. Time Management 101

Following the 80/20 rule has transformed my calendar. By dedicating 80% of my schedule to meetings, tasks, and projects and reserving 20% for deep work and creative thinking, I’ve unlocked invaluable breathing room for growth and innovation. This focused approach allows me to channel my energy into the 20% of activities that drive 80% of my results.

5. Prioritize with Purpose

The Eisenhower Matrix from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People has been instrumental in decision-making. Evaluating tasks by importance and urgency has brought clarity and focus to my daily work. Each task is categorized as Urgent, Important, Both, or Neither. This approach allows me to establish a clear hierarchy of priorities, ensuring deadlines are met and my time is allocated to what matters most.

6. Build the Right Team

Platforms like Upwork have connected me with talented individuals for both short-term projects and ongoing support. The key to success is clear communication, meticulous documentation, and robust onboarding processes, ensuring everyone is set up for success.

Looking Ahead to 2025

2024 has been a year of pushing boundaries, learning, and leveling up. Heading into 2025, I’m excited to continue building and scaling while staying focused on what truly matters—making an impact.
